Swatch & Review: Julep Nail Color

I recently signed up to be a Julep Maven and received my first box about a week ago. I'm signed up for the It-Girl Maven box simply because you get three polishes, unlike the other boxes. I used a coupon which allowed me to received my first box for only $4, rather than the usual $20.

The first color I tried out was "Oscar"

Intensity: It became fairly opaque with three thick coats. Of all the glitter polish I've used, it had the best opaqueness.
Texture: It started off pretty thin, but the longer the bottle was open the more thick it became. However it never grew so thick it was difficult to work with.
Finish: Clear with small gold and silver glitter
Dry Time: By the time I painted all ten nails, the first hand was already dry! Each layer dried very quickly, which was surprising to me.
Wear Time: I noticed the tips began to show some wear within the first 24 hours. I started experiencing major chipping on the second day of wear.
Overall Opinion: I've never been a fan of the color gold, but this polish is stunning. It captures the light so well and definitely stands out. It's just disappointing that it doesn't last very well.

I applied three thick coats of Julep, followed by one thick coat of OTD.
